Last Friday I
wrote a post arguing that we were setting a bad precedent by launching a military intervention based on a UN resolution centered around the notion of protecting civilians.
Is there the slightest doubt that the next time Israel has to launch a major military action there will be calls for international action to protect civilians?
Our nominal ally and now Islamist-led Turkey didn't even wait until the next major Israeli operation. Here's
the Deputy Prime-minister.
We wish that the United Nations had made similar resolutions, and countries had taken action, in the face of incidents in Gaza, Palestine and other regions,"
I didn't expect to be proven correct quite that fast.
