The Liberal Quiz

Just for amusement I took the "How Liberal Are You?" Quiz at Americans for Democratic Action, a liberal activist organization that rates members of Congress on their voting records. The quiz has you vote "yea" or "nay" on actual bills, and then scores your votes as if you were a congressman or senator. My score was 15 out of 100, not a big surprise.

  1. I got a 20 :(
It's amazing how each of their proposed law examples contained multiple issues (tax cuts and renewable energy). Why can't Congress pass clear and simple laws on specific issues instead of creating these convoluted, 400 page monstrosities?

  2. If they made the bills simple and easy to understand they wouldn't be able to hide objectionable provisions in them. And they probably wouldn't need huge numbers of staffers working for them.
